What are you currently fascinated with?

A bit of an abbreviated account of something I came across this week. From my notes:

In Mexico there is the story of Maria. La Llorona.
( She is an exceptionally beautiful woman. [Creepy potentially disturbing typical Taiki ghost story] )

Taiki spends his 26th birthday 8km South of Costa Careyes. On the very edge of a cliff sits an enormous cement bowl -- an abstract sculpture commissioned by a wealthy eccentric. The locals despise it and tourists generally have more interesting entertainment priorities, meaning Taiki usually has La Cupa del Sol to himself.

It takes Taiki approximately 2.536 seconds to change from his school uniform into the play clothes set out for him and a snow suit. He waddles into the kitchen for Inspection and when he gets the O-K sign from his mother he's immediately out the door.
